Andrew Eng firmly believes that the future of New Zealand lies within the sustainability of resources and hopes to provide sustainable and affordable transport and clean energy. He also believes that we borrow resources from the future, that we have a duty to uphold mana whenua and need to make sure the next generation has access to what we had access to.
Prior to becoming an MP, Andrew was a student at the University of Auckland where he studied a Bachelor of Science/Global Studies Conj. Majoring in Global Environment, Sustainable development and Geography. He has diverse experience working for many NGOs specialising in sustainability.
Andrew is the leader of the Pine Party because of the unique perspective he brings to the Pine Party. Being a Geographer he can look at the bigger picture socially and economically not only environmentally. Andrew has a history of leadership positions previously and we thought he was a good role model to represent the party and the values of the party. Values of the party include a long term outlook on sustainability, Inclusivity, transparency and accessibility.
