Ramit Kumar is working towards fighting the impacts of climate change to create a safer environment for our future generations. He believes this will be done by taking quick and decisive action in the reduction of our greenhouse gas emissions. He also has a keen interest in Oceans and Fisheries, as he takes this role for his second portfolio, believing that the sustainable use of its resources is of paramount importance.
Before becoming a MP, Ramit was a former student at the University of Auckland where he graduated with a Bachelor of Advanced Science majoring in Environmental Change (with honors). He then went to work for many Non-Governmental Organizations, where he picked up vital experience and skills which helped him to become a specialist in his field.
