Esther Prakash believes having a balanced approach to social development will be the most sustainable and effective solution in the long-term, and for the generations to come in Aotearoa New Zealand. Whanau, education, and security are just some of the social factors Esther is passionate about enhancing, in order to increase the quality of each Kiwi’s life from infant to elder, and to make Aotearoa New Zealand a better place to be. Additionally, she believes in growing the economy by creating jobs and increasing wages and job support, while simultaneously targeting issues including poverty, hunger, housing, and climate change.
Esther completed a Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours) specialising in Psychology, at the University of Auckland. She chose to join Pine as the Minister of Social Development due to her passion for understanding families and mental health, and the strong desire for proper public representation to make a real, positive impact on the lives of Kiwi’s across the country.
